In a shocking turn of events on Thanksgiving Eve, seven individuals in New York City fell victim to gun violence in a span of just four hours across three boroughs. The series of shootings left the city reeling and authorities scrambling to piece together the motives behind the attacks.

The first incident occurred at around 7:20 p.m. in downtown Brooklyn, where two teenagers, an 18-year-old man, and an 18-year-old woman, were shot at Fulton and Jay streets. The young man sustained injuries to his left leg and left elbow, while the young woman was hit in the right leg. Both victims were rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.

The violence escalated around 9:40 p.m. in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx, where two men, aged 22 and 23, were shot on Ryer Avenue near the Grand Concourse. The older man was struck in the left foot, while the younger victim suffered a gunshot wound to his right thigh. They were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and were listed as stable by medical staff.

Shortly after, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a 24-year-old man was grazed in the head by two masked assailants in Queens. The incident took place on 30th Drive near Vernon Boulevard in Astoria, and the victim was transported to Mount Sinai Queens in stable condition. The suspects fled the scene in a black Jeep, leaving authorities with little to go on in terms of identifying them.

In another harrowing incident at 11:20 p.m., two individuals were shot inside a Bronx deli. A 22-year-old man sustained a shoulder injury, while a 25-year-old woman was hit in the torso at the Yaya Deli Grocery on Melrose Avenue near East 160th Street in Melrose. Both victims were taken to Lincoln Medical Center and were reported to be in stable condition.
