Kelley Mack, a talented American TV actress known for her roles in popular shows like “The Walking Dead,” “9-1-1,” and “Chicago Med,” passed away on August 2 at the young age of 33. Her family announced that she lost her battle with glioma of the central nervous system in her hometown of Cincinnati.

Mack’s passion for acting began at a young age, as she started appearing in commercials after receiving a mini video camera as a birthday gift. She later pursued a degree in cinematography from the Dodge College of Film at Chapman University, where she honed her skills and received recognition for her talent. One of her notable achievements was winning an acting award from Tisch School of the Arts for her role in the acclaimed film “The Elephant Garden,” which also received the Student Visionary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008.

In the television industry, Mack made a name for herself with memorable performances in various shows. She portrayed Addy in Season 9 of “The Walking Dead,” Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of “Chicago Med,” and had a role in FOX’s “9-1-1.” Additionally, she showcased her acting abilities in films such as “Broadcast Signal Intrusion,” “Delicate Arch,” and the upcoming movie “Universal.”

Apart from her acting career, Mack was also a talented screenwriter who collaborated with her mother, Kristen Klebenow, on various projects. Together, they worked on several full-feature scripts, including “On The Black,” a story set in the 1950s about college baseball, inspired by Mack’s maternal grandparents who attended Ohio University.

Kelley Mack is survived by her loving family, including her mother and father, Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow, sister Kathryn, brother Parker, and grandparents Lois and Larry Klebenow. Her untimely passing has left a void in the entertainment industry, but her legacy as a gifted actress and writer will continue to inspire many.
