“I have observed a relentless wave of violence directed at ICE officers across our nation.
The Department of Justice stands firm against such disorder.
I am deploying DOJ agents to ICE facilities—wherever they are besieged—to defend our federal officers, safeguard government property, and promptly detain any individuals involved in federal crimes.
In accordance with President Trump’s recent executive directive, I am also directing Joint Terrorism Task Forces across the nation to investigate and disrupt all entities and individuals committing acts of domestic terrorism, including ongoing violence and obstruction against federal agents.
The DOJ will pursue the harshest possible penalties against anyone involved in these unlawful group actions, encompassing conspiracy, assault, civil disorder, and terrorism charges.
Though these persistent attacks aim to undermine our determination, they instead reinforce our commitment to the mission at hand.
Therefore, I have instructed the FBI, DEA, ATF, and US Marshals to boost our collaborative efforts with the Department of Homeland Security to locate, apprehend, prosecute, and deport all illegal immigrants residing in our country. The rule of law will prevail.”

Bondi’s assertive action enjoys the full backing of President Donald Trump, who has issued an executive memorandum categorizing domestic terrorism and organized political violence as pressing national security concerns.
Trump’s memorandum highlights harrowing instances of political violence, including the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the 2024 targeted killing of a senior healthcare executive, the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and two distinct assassination threats against Trump himself during the 2024 election cycle.
The President further noted a staggering 1,000% rise in attacks on ICE officers since January 2025, emphasizing the latest tragedy—a mass shooting at the Dallas ICE facility resulting in multiple injuries.
This directive unmistakably indicates that we are not dealing with “random” violence but rather organized efforts to intimidate, radicalize, and terrorize, aiming to silence opposition and disrupt the fabric of America.
In his executive directive, Trump mandates the National Joint Terrorism Task Force and all JTTFs nationally to pursue an extensive crackdown on domestic terrorism networks. The order includes investigations into:
- Recruitment and radicalization strategies advocating for political violence
- Funding sources for extremist movements, both institutional and individual
- NGOs and foreign-linked organizations potentially channeling funds into domestic terrorist activities
- Coordinated doxing, swatting, public disorder, looting, and targeted political intimidation
The President has also instructed the Treasury Department and IRS to sever any financial lifelines, guaranteeing that no tax-exempt organizations or financial systems can finance these violent campaigns.
