Emilie Kiser is contemplating the arduous path of her therapy sessions in the aftermath of the tragic loss of her and husband Brady Kiser‘s 3-year-old son, Trigg.

“I’m feeling good today. Well, not ‘good’ in the conventional sense, but I’m managing to cope with everything. Does that make any sense?” Emilie shared in a heartfelt video on TikTok on September 28.

Filmed from her car en route to therapy, Emilie expressed how these drives provoke intense self-reflection. “It’s like my brain is getting ready to spill its contents to my therapist, which tends to stir up a lot of emotion during the ride. The realization of my circumstances hits hard, and I often find myself thinking, ‘Wow, this is truly my life and what I’m going through right now,’” she noted, capturing a moment of vulnerability as she stepped into the therapy session, visibly anxious.

Post-therapy, Emilie—a successful influencer with a following of over 4.8 million—revealed that while she is often apprehensive before her sessions, the experience is ultimately beneficial. “We discussed everything that’s transpired, and truthfully, it’s been a heavy burden. Grieving Trigg’s loss feels like an everyday struggle, an emotional hole in our lives that can’t be filled. But I do feel lighter after sharing it,” she remarked.

Emilie acknowledged a previously negative view toward therapy, admitting, “For a long time, I believed I didn’t need therapy. I was staunchly against it. Yet, each session makes me feel validated and prepares me to face the day ahead with renewed strength.”

Explaining the emotional toll, she candidly remarked, “Therapy can be exhausting. There’s so much trauma to process. After these sessions, I seek out activities that rejuvenate my spirit.”

“Many people experience emotional fatigue following a therapy session. Yet, I can say with certainty that even after a handful of months in therapy, the benefits are significant. My perspective has shifted, and I’m equipped with coping strategies I never had before. I truly encourage everyone to consider it if you’re on the fence,” she exclaimed.

In the caption accompanying her video, Emilie expressed her gratitude: “Thankful for therapy each week. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!” 🍂✨

Earlier this year, the Chandler, Arizona Police Department reported the devastating news of Trigg’s passing, revealing he was found unconscious in the family’s backyard pool. In July, authorities considered pressing charges against Brady, who was at home during the incident, but subsequently stated there was “no likelihood of conviction.”

Emilie broke her silence about Trigg in August, stating, “The magnitude of this loss is ineffable. I continually grapple with my feelings as I attempt to process the absence of my child.”

Reflecting on Trigg, Emilie said, “He was our baby and best friend. The joy and light he brought into our lives was irreplaceable. We feel his absence acutely every day, and moving forward is often a daunting task. Never did I anticipate experiencing such deep grief—losing him so suddenly is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”

In recent updates, Emilie, who also has a son named Teddy with Brady, returned to TikTok not long ago, donning a necklace engraved with Trigg’s name. “I’ve needed some time away from the online world, focusing on figuring everything out, one day at a time. That’ll also reflect in the content I create moving forward,” she affirmed.
