Samsung has begun rolling out its much-anticipated One UI 8 software to various older models of smartphones and tablets, bringing exciting new features and improvements.

The journey to deliver this Android 16-based interface has been well chronicled, with the initial launch occurring on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 on July 25. It wasn’t until nearly two months later that the flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 series saw a wider rollout of the update.

Fortunately, the deployment is now in full swing, with many older devices set to receive One UI 8.

Details on One UI 8 Rollout

The current rollout appears to focus on devices released in 2024 and 2023. According to a recent post on the Samsung Korea community page, the official update is rolling out to devices such as the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

However, it’s worth noting that the rollout may not be widespread across all regions just yet. Fold/Flip 5 owners may only find the update available if they are part of the South Korean beta program for now, but the rollout is progressing.

The update isn’t exclusive to flagship devices; recent observations on the Samsung Korea forum showed that budget devices such as the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 are also beginning to receive One UI 8 updates.

Moreover, users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ have reported receiving the One UI 8 update, marking it as the first Samsung tablet to be updated to this version. The latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series comes pre-installed with this new software, as expected.
