Former Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has been found to have maintained contact with Jeffrey Epstein long after claiming to have cut ties with the disgraced financier. Emails published by the US Department of Justice reveal that Mountbatten-Windsor not only stayed in touch with Epstein but also suggests that they may have met more frequently than previously admitted.

In a BBC television interview in 2019, Mountbatten-Windsor stated that he had severed all contact with Epstein after a meeting in December 2010, the only time they had met in person following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for underage prostitution. However, newly released files from the DoJ show that Mountbatten-Windsor emailed Epstein in March 2011, asking him to call.

Further emails between the two individuals indicate that Epstein had proposed a dinner with a 26-year-old woman named “Irina” for Mountbatten-Windsor in August 2010, shortly after Epstein’s release from house arrest. The exchange suggests a continued relationship between the two, with Mountbatten-Windsor referring to himself as the Duke of York at the time.

Evidence from September 2010 suggests that the pair may have met on more than one occasion following Epstein’s conviction. Epstein’s email to Mountbatten-Windsor during a visit to London proposes a gathering at Buckingham Palace with women, to which Mountbatten-Windsor responds inquiring about the details.

Despite the mounting evidence of continued contact and potential meetings, Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing in his relationship with Epstein.
