Summary
- Launch date for OxygenOS 16 announced by OnePlus
- Starting rollout on 16 October
- Device compatibility mostly confirmed
OnePlus has officially announced the rollout date for its upcoming Android skin, OxygenOS 16, along with the list of supported smartphones and tablets.
Many users of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus Nord 5 have been eagerly anticipating their devices to receive the Android 16 upgrade for several months.
Fortunately, OnePlus has clarified the situation. After teasing the update release last week, the company announced on X that the OxygenOS 16 rollout will officially start on 16 October, which is next Thursday.
It’s important to note that not every eligible OnePlus device will receive the update simultaneously—rather, the rollout will begin on that day. Newer models are likely to be prioritized.
Your geographic location may also affect how quickly you receive the update. OnePlus has a strong presence in India, so users there might see the update sooner.
