In a striking display of engagement, President Donald Trump organized a roundtable meeting on Wednesday that brought together key cabinet members and a select group of independent journalists to discuss the controversial subject of ‘Antifa’—a designation he controversially dubbed a terrorist organization last month.
The White House invited independent reporters known for their confrontations with Antifa in the Pacific Northwest, particularly Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington.
The attendees included:
Brandi Kruse, a former Seattle television reporter, captivated the audience with a revealing statement aimed directly at the President.
Brandi Kruse: “Mr. President, this is Brandi Kruse speaking. It’s evident that among us are individuals who have vigorously covered Antifa for the past 15 years without anyone in power acknowledging their existence until now. Your label of Antifa as a terrorist organization is perhaps the most significant action taken against this persistent menace. I believe that the intervention you’ve prompted has likely saved lives in Portland; federal acknowledgment may have forestalled violence. They’ve shied away from aggressive actions since your public declaration because, naturally, no one wishes to face the federal consequences.”
“I must admit, I was advised by numerous colleagues not to share this: I am a testament to recovery from TDS.”
“For the better part of eight years, I struggled with Trump Derangement Syndrome. This very meeting symbolizes part of my recovery process. I assure you, life is considerably more enjoyable without TDS.”
“Today, I stand here healthier, happier, and perhaps even more attractive since overcoming that mental block. And just so everyone knows, I, a Seattle reporter, frankly could not be less concerned about others’ opinions regarding my statements today.”
“We are not here to debate the reality of Antifa; if you have yet to acknowledge its existence, I doubt you ever will, likely due to a reluctance to confront the truth. You may dismiss our gathering as mere right-wing propaganda, but I was once part of that mainstream narrative. As a TV journalist in Seattle, I faced actual assaults at the hands of Antifa. This issue transcends mere political affiliation; it pertains to unveiling the truth of what is occurring.”
“The media’s refusal to confront the harsh realities and democratic leaders’ denial led me to question their honesty about all matters, Trump included. This critical thinking has allowed me to find humor in this narrative.”
Footage of the event was captured by KOMO in Washington.
