Michael Lohan is once again a free man … according to reports from TMZ, Lindsay’s father was released early after completing time for probation violations stemming from a February incident involving Kate Lohan.
A representative from the Palm Beach County Detention Center confirmed to TMZ that Michael was released at approximately 1 AM on Sunday, October 5. He was granted a 24-day early release due to “gain time” earned by working as a trustee inmate.
Lohan entered the jail around April and was initially expected to spend nearly nine months there. His probation violation arose from an arrest in Texas, facing a felony charge of continuous violence against the family, which is still pending.
As previously reported, during a medical evaluation, Kate alleged that Michael had violently thrown her out of a chair at their residence, resulting in pain and bruises. A responding officer noted visible injuries on Kate, leading to Michael’s arrest at their home.
Now that he has returned home, Michael expressed to TMZ, “I am very grateful for my early release and to be back with my boys. What happened shouldn’t have occurred; it was wrong! There’s a lot more to this story than has been disclosed. I’m just relieved to be out and I apologize for the negative attention my family has faced.”
He also mentioned that he’s looking forward to moving on, stating he desires peace for both himself and his family in the future.
