Health journalist and film producer Del Bigtree has recently unveiled his latest documentary, An Inconvenient Study, chronicling his extensive dialogue with Dr. Marcus Zervos, the head of infectious diseases at Henry Ford Health in Detroit—a physician staunchly in favor of vaccinations.
Their collaboration began in 2016 when Bigtree challenged Dr. Zervos to address a long-avoided aspect of public health: conducting a comprehensive study to compare the health outcomes of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children. Dr. Zervos accepted the challenge, intent on disproving Bigtree’s assertions. He vowed, “Whatever the results, they get published.”
The now-exposed study, alongside Bigtree’s film, is available for public viewing.
Before revealing Dr. Zervos’s outcomes, the film presented historical evidence casting doubt on vaccine safety. A noteworthy instance involved Dr. Peter Aaby, who transitioned from being a vaccine advocate to a skeptic. His revelation stemmed from analyzing the impact of the DTP vaccine in Guinea-Bissau, where he discovered that vaccinated children faced a staggering 2.3 times higher mortality rate than their unvaccinated counterparts.
Following the program’s initiation, Dr. Aaby found that only half of the children had received the vaccine, ultimately enabling him to establish a comparative analysis. While the DTP vaccine was effective in preventing specific diseases, it also correlated with a more than twofold increased likelihood of overall mortality—a finding that dramatically shifted his perspective on vaccines. He has since emphasized, “No routine vaccine has been tested for its overall effect on mortality in randomized trials prior to introduction. The truth is, we don’t really know what our vaccines do.”

The film next examined Dr. Paul Thomas, whose medical license was suspended following the release of his study. Dr. Thomas’s research on 3,324 children indicated that unvaccinated children experienced fewer doctor visits and had superior health outcomes.
- Fever – 9.1× more prevalent in vaccinated
- Ear Pain – 3.4× more prevalent
- Otitis Media (Ear Infections) – 2.9× more prevalent
- Conjunctivitis – 2.4× more prevalent
- Eye Disorders (Other) – 1.8× more prevalent
- Asthma – 5.2× more prevalent
- Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever) – 6.9× more prevalent
- Sinusitis – 4.3× more prevalent
- Breathing Issues – 2.9× more prevalent
- Anemia – 5.5× more prevalent
- Eczema – 4.5× more prevalent
- Urticaria (Hives) – 2.1× more prevalent
- Dermatitis – 1.4× more prevalent
- Behavioral Issues – 4.1× more prevalent
- Gastroenteritis – 4.7× more prevalent
- Weight/Eating Disorders – 2.5× more prevalent
- ADHD – 0 cases in the unvaccinated group

In a twist, rather than probing his findings, the Oregon Medical Board opted to suspend Dr. Thomas’s license mere days after his study’s publication. Subsequently, the study was retracted.
This episode encapsulates a recurring dilemma in the vax versus unvax debate. These studies are often dismissed not due to the quality of their data, but rather because the conclusions are politically uncomfortable. Time and time again, results have been disregarded solely because they lacked endorsement from prestigious institutions or failed to find a home in leading medical journals.
Bigtree recognized this reality and enlisted Dr. Marcus Zervos to spearhead a comprehensive study. As one of the nation’s top infectious disease specialists, Dr. Zervos was linked to Henry Ford Health—a notable medical center with an extensive patient database—making him an ideal candidate for a large-scale comparative analysis. Bigtree framed this as Zervos’s chance to disprove the skeptics, an angle that effectively persuaded the doctor to engage in the research.
The study was finalized in 2020, and as Bigtree had anticipated, the results posed serious concerns for the vaccinated group. Yet, dishearteningly, Dr. Zervos chose against publication.
In 2022, Bigtree managed to persuade Dr. Zervos to articulate his reasons, capturing the poignant conversation on hidden camera. During this exchange, Dr. Zervos candidly explained, “Publishing something like that, I might as well retire. I’d be finished.”
So, what did the study ultimately reveal?
• Vaccinated children were 4.29 times more likely to develop asthma.
• Three times higher risk for atopic diseases like eczema.
• Nearly six times higher risk for autoimmune disorders, encompassing over 80 distinct diseases.
• 5.5 times higher odds for neurodevelopmental disorders.
• 2.9 times more motor disabilities.
• 4.5 times more speech disorders.
• Threefold increase in developmental delays.
• Six times more acute and chronic ear infections.
• Among nearly 2,000 unvaccinated children, there were zero cases of ADHD, diabetes, behavioral problems, learning disabilities, or psychological disorders.
• The study concluded with a chilling assertion: “[I]n contrast to our expectations, we found that exposure to vaccination was independently associated with an overall 2.5-fold INCREASE in the likelihood of developing a chronic health condition when compared to children unexposed to vaccination.”
A groundbreaking vax versus unvax study finally comes to light—revealing staggering results.

Furthermore, the film illustrated a telling graph, aligned with national data, revealing that 54% of American children have at least one chronic condition. The statistics were striking:
Vaccinated children: 57% risk of developing a chronic disease within the first decade.
Unvaccinated children: Only 17%.
To summarize, the study indicates that vaccinated children are more than three times more likely to develop a chronic disease compared to their unvaccinated peers after ten years—a revelation that Bigtree argues “should shock everyone.”
Examine this graph closely—the results are nothing short of astonishing.
Vaccinated kids: 57% chance of chronic disease within the first decade.
Unvaccinated kids: Just 17%.“This should shock everyone.”
