A group of daring burglars, disguised in construction vests, carried out a heist at a residence in Queens, stealing a whopping $3.2 million in cash and jewelry. The incident took place in broad daylight, with the thieves arriving at the home on 160th Street and 84th Drive in a blue Hyundai Elantra around 2:20 p.m.

Surveillance footage captured the two vest-wearing burglars breaking into the house through a back door, while their accomplice, dressed in a white hoodie, waited in the getaway vehicle parked in the driveway. The thieves swiftly grabbed a safe and valuable jewelry before fleeing the scene in the car, leaving authorities on a hunt to track them down.

The burglars were described by the NYPD as wearing black sweatshirts, pants, and sneakers, along with white construction hats and neon construction jackets. The driver, on the other hand, sported black pants, grey sneakers, and black gloves. Despite the daring nature of the heist, no one was present at the residence during the robbery, and no injuries were reported.

The motive behind targeting the particular home and the presence of such a significant amount of valuables inside remains unknown. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the culprits or the stolen items to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or visit crimestoppers.nypdonline.org to provide tips anonymously.

The brazen burglary highlights the importance of home security measures and vigilance in safeguarding one’s possessions. As the investigation continues, law enforcement officials are hopeful that the surveillance footage will lead to the apprehension of the thieves and the recovery of the stolen $3.2 million worth of cash and jewelry.
