Left Bank Pictures, the Sony Pictures Television-owned powerhouse behind “The Crown,” has made a significant addition to its team. Former BBC chief content officer Charlotte Moore has brought in Matt Jarvis as the new executive producer. Jarvis, currently the executive producer at Clerkenwell Films and a producer on Netflix’s acclaimed series “Baby Reindeer,” will also serve as the acting creative director during Sian McWilliams’ maternity leave.
In his new role, Jarvis will report to Moore and work closely with the creative team to develop Left Bank’s slate, generate new content, and oversee projects for approval. He will be an integral part of the senior leadership team at Left Bank, which is known for producing popular shows like “This City Is Ours,” “Dear England,” “The Lady,” “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” and “Department Q.”
Moore expressed her excitement about Jarvis joining the team, praising his talent and successful track record in the UK TV industry. She believes that his creative ambition and leadership will be invaluable during this exciting period for Left Bank. Jarvis, on the other hand, shared his fondness for his time at Clerkenwell Films, where he worked on acclaimed series like “Misfits” and “Cheaters.” However, he expressed his eagerness to join Left Bank and work alongside Andy Harries to shape the future of high-end television production.
Jarvis acknowledged the opportunity to collaborate with Charlotte Moore, a top executive in the media industry, as a major draw to joining Left Bank. He is looking forward to contributing to the creative vision of the company and is excited to get started on new projects. With his experience and expertise, Jarvis is poised to make a significant impact on Left Bank Pictures and help elevate the company’s reputation as a leading producer of quality television shows.
