A small plane crash in Castle Rock causes road closure
A small plane crashed in Castle Rock on Monday evening, leading to the closure of a portion of Prairie Hawk Drive as reported by the city’s police department.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the accident that took place just before 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of Wolfensberger Road and Prairie Hawk Drive. Taylor Temby, spokeswoman for the Castle Rock Police Department, mentioned that the number of individuals on board the plane was not immediately known.
Due to the crash, Prairie Hawk Drive has been closed off from Wolfensberger Road to Switch Grass Drive, according to Temby. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have both been informed about the incident.
