Mark Cuban, the minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has hit back at Elon Musk for his recent derogatory comments towards him. Musk had made a remark suggesting that Cuban and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow resembled “a lesbian couple from Portland,” which Cuban deemed as inappropriate and offensive.

In response, Cuban took to X (formerly Twitter) to address Musk directly, pointing out Musk’s apparent obsession with him and criticizing his support for former President Donald Trump. Cuban highlighted Musk’s substantial donation of nearly $75 million to a super PAC supporting Trump, questioning Musk’s motives and loyalty.

The feud between Cuban and Musk escalated further when Cuban expressed his interest in potentially acquiring X, the platform Musk recently purchased. Cuban, known for his business acumen and wealth, stated in an interview with Wired that he would consider buying X if the opportunity arose. However, he acknowledged that Musk is unlikely to sell the platform anytime soon, given his recent acquisition and commitment to the company.

Since taking over X in October 2022, Musk has faced criticism for the platform’s declining value and performance. Reports indicate a significant drop in the company’s worth, with estimates suggesting a 71% decrease in value. This decline has been attributed to a decrease in advertising revenue and operational changes implemented by Musk, leading to concerns about the platform’s future viability.

Despite the challenges faced by X under Musk’s leadership, Cuban remains open to the possibility of acquiring the platform in the future. His interest in X reflects his entrepreneurial spirit and desire to explore new opportunities in the tech industry. As the feud between Cuban and Musk continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how their rivalry will impact the future of X and their respective business ventures.
