A collision involving three vehicles, including a van, has resulted in a dozen people sustaining injuries in Invercargill. St John has reported that one individual is in serious condition and another in moderate condition, both of whom have been transported to Southland Hospital. Additionally, ten others with minor injuries are also en route to the hospital.
Police have stated that the incident occurred at the intersection of Yarrow Street and Isabella Street just after 8pm. The van, carrying 10 passengers, was involved in the crash, but fortunately, no one was trapped, and all occupants were able to exit the vehicle promptly.
Fire and Emergency services responded to the scene, with three fire crews assisting in safely removing everyone from the vehicles.
