Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Set to Make Comebacks in the US
The power couple, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, have been facing challenges in selling their first U.K. home, a $20 million farmhouse located near their current mansion. Recent reports of flooding in the area have caused concerns, but DeGeneres reassured the public that the house itself remains unharmed.
In an attempt to offload the property, they listed it for $30 million in July. Insider sources suggest that they may keep their newer estate as a part-time residence while making a return to California. The eight-hour time difference between the U.K. and the U.S. has proven to be a significant inconvenience, prompting the couple to reconsider their living arrangements.
A source close to the couple revealed, “Ellen is realizing the challenges of conducting business deals and creative meetings from overseas. While technology like Zoom helps, the essence of L.A. is built on face-to-face interactions.”
Despite the logistical challenges, their decision to move back to America is primarily driven by their ambition. A friend of the couple shared, “Ellen is eager to make a full-fledged comeback in the entertainment industry. Whether it’s through a sitcom, comedy specials, or producing projects, she is open to exploring new opportunities.” Portia also shares this desire to reconnect with the world beyond the rural countryside they have been residing in.
