John Cena’s storied WWE career came to an end at Saturday Night’s Main Event when he tapped out to Gunther. However, Dutch Mantell, a former manager in the promotion, responded to shocking accusations made by Cena’s former tag team partner, David Otunga.
In 2010, Otunga and Cena became WWE Tag Team Champions during a storyline involving The Nexus. Otunga recently claimed that he was bullied and emotionally assaulted by Cena while they shared a locker room. Speaking on “Story Time with Dutch Mantell,” Mantell suggested that Otunga should take legal action and sue Cena if he can substantiate his allegations. However, Mantell also questioned why Otunga has not pursued legal action against the 17-time WWE World Champion.
Mantell stated, “First thing I’d do if I was David Otunga, I would sue John Cena. I would go and sue the hell out of him and let him spend some money on a lawyer.” He urged Otunga to take the matter to court if he had valid evidence against Cena.
On a different note, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley predicted that Cena would eventually return to the promotion for a specific reason. Dudley proposed a storyline where Cody Rhodes would challenge Gunther, and Cena’s return in an on-screen capacity would assist Rhodes in defeating the formidable opponent.
Dudley elaborated, “One day, like a Force ghost, John Cena will return at the right moment to remind Cody who he is.” He envisioned Cena’s return as a pivotal moment that would help Rhodes overcome the challenge posed by Gunther.
As fans speculate about Cena’s potential return and the future of Gunther on the red brand, it remains to be seen how these storylines will unfold in the WWE. Stay tuned for more updates on the latest WWE news and developments from Sportskeeda.
