A tragic incident unfolded at a 5-star Dubai hotel where a flight attendant was brutally stabbed to death with a pair of scissors by her jealous ex-husband. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Anastasia, was found with at least 15 stab wounds at the Voco Bonnington hotel in Dubai.
The suspect, Russian national Albert Morgan, 41, was apprehended upon his arrival in St. Petersburg after fleeing the scene of the crime. It is reported that Morgan, a legal consultant, had been tracking Anastasia to Dubai, suspecting her of engaging in escort services during their marriage.
Morgan allegedly gained access to Anastasia’s hotel room by posing as a guest and wearing a stolen hotel robe. Initially planning to confront her and vandalize her with green paint, the situation escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in Anastasia’s tragic death.
Anastasia, who worked for Russian airline Pobeda, was found with multiple stab wounds on her neck, torso, and limbs. Despite efforts to identify her, she was only known by her first name in Russian media reports.
Following their divorce after two years of marriage, Morgan allegedly traveled over 2,700 miles with an accomplice to confront Anastasia. Dubai police identified Morgan through security footage and coordinated with Russian authorities to apprehend him upon his return to St. Petersburg.
During his arrest, Morgan reportedly expressed a desire to join the conflict in Ukraine, a tactic used by some Russian criminals to avoid prosecution. However, he was remanded in custody for further investigation.
Morgan, who had previously served time for drug-related offenses and adopted a new name, had a history of domestic disputes with Anastasia. Despite her previous complaints against him, Anastasia had withdrawn them before the tragic incident at the Dubai hotel.
The investigation into the murder of Anastasia continues as authorities seek to uncover the full extent of the circumstances leading to her untimely death. The shocking crime has left the aviation community in mourning and raised awareness about the dangers of domestic violence and jealousy in relationships.
