“I’ve had enough of him,” she told ABC’s Jonathan Karl in a recent interview. “But I did see some of it in the news afterward, and I think it was a demonstration of his mental incapacity.”
She also highlighted another recent incident: Trump’s attack on Rob Reiner after the filmmaker and his wife, Michele, were tragically found dead in their home last month.
“Something’s not right there,” she remarked. “And something’s amiss with the people around him for not reining in his absurd behavior.”
Pelosi engaged in a showdown with Trump during his previous term in office, famously confronting him at the White House with a finger-wagging moment that went viral ― a moment she is still asked to sign photos of today ― and again at the State of the Union when she tore up his speech in front of him.
At the time, Trump falsely alleged that tearing up his speech was “very illegal.”
In the new interview, Pelosi explained that she tore up the speech because it was a “manifesto of lies.”
