The Evolution of N.Hoolywood: A Closer Look at the TPES Line

In the year 2026, Daisuke Obana has set his sights on redefining his work-life balance, seeking to optimize both his professional responsibilities and personal relaxation time. However, when it comes to his latest venture, the N.Hoolywood Test Product Exchange Service (TPES) line, the focus is squarely on innovation and military-inspired urban fashion.

The backdrop for the spring lookbook shoot was an unconventional choice – an anechoic and reverberation chamber typically used for testing specialized speakers and acoustic performance. Drawing inspiration from archival U.S. military documents, Obana revealed that the design process for the TPES line was influenced by rigorous testing standards, including fire resistance, durability, and performance assessments.

The collection features a range of utilitarian pieces such as sweatshirts, work pants, and jackets in muted shades of dusty blue, gray, brown, and black, reminiscent of military uniforms worn by the Marine Corps and Coast Guard. What sets these garments apart are the exposed labels, adding a unique touch to the otherwise understated designs.

N.Hoolywood’s TPES line embodies a sense of military precision and preparedness. While typically considered a line of wardrobe essentials, recent geopolitical shifts have added a layer of complexity to the brand’s offerings. In a world where the concept of a “strongman” policy is gaining traction, the idea of being constantly vigilant and ready for any situation is more relevant than ever.
