John Mulaney Postpones Minneapolis Shows Following ICE Shooting
Comedian John Mulaney has made the difficult decision to postpone his upcoming shows in Minneapolis this weekend in light of the recent shooting by an ICE officer. The city has been rocked by demonstrations following the tragic death of local mother and poet, Renee Nicole Good, during a protest.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences, Mulaney took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the situation. He acknowledged the challenges and grief the city is facing, stating, âI hate to postpone shows in a town going through such awful challenges and such grief, because it feels unfair to the audience.â
Mulaney, currently on tour with his âMr. Whateverâ show, will resume performances on Jan. 15 in St. Louis before continuing to Seattle, New York, and London after the rescheduled Minneapolis dates.
Despite the disappointment for fans, Mulaney emphasized the importance of safety, stating, âI donât feel comfortable asking thousands of people each night to leave their homes, gather at the venue, and then make their way home when the situation is so unsafe.â
