CBS Renews 10 Series for 2026-2027 Season
CBS has officially renewed 10 current series for the upcoming 2026-2027 broadcast season. This announcement includes the renewal of popular shows such as “Tracker,” “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” “Matlock,” “Elsbeth,” “Fire Country,” “NCIS,” “NCIS: Origins,” “NCIS: Sydney,” “Survivor,” and “The Amazing Race.”
The total number of CBS series ordered for the next season now stands at 16, with these renewals joining previously announced pickups like the “Blue Bloods” spinoff “Boston Blue,” the “Fire Country” spinoff “Sheriff Country,” “FBI,” and the comedy “Ghosts,” which was renewed for multiple seasons last year.
Additionally, CBS is gearing up for new series premieres in the 2026-2027 season, including the legal drama “Cupertino” starring Mike Colter and the procedural series “Einstein” featuring Matthew Gray Gubler. “Cupertino” comes from creators Robert & Michelle King, while “Einstein” was delayed from its original premiere date in April 2025.
As the network continues to make decisions about its lineup, shows like “Watson” and “DMV” are still awaiting news on potential renewals. “The Neighborhood” will be concluding after its current season, with more orders and renewals expected to be announced in the future.
Fans can look forward to the premiere of the new “FBI” series, “CIA,” on February 23, followed by the “Yellowstone” spinoff “Marshals” starring Luke Grimes on March 1. In addition, CBS is developing two comedy pilots for consideration next season: “Eternally Yours,” a vampire comedy from the creators of “Ghosts,” and “Regency,” a period comedy from Tara Hernandez.
