Jimmy Kimmel took a jab at Melania Trump in his recent monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ahead of the release of her documentary, “Melania,” directed by Brett Ratner and distributed by Amazon MGM. The documentary follows the First Lady in the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration.
During his monologue, Kimmel referenced writer Michael Wolff’s claims that Melania is upset that the nationwide focus on ICE brutality in Minneapolis is overshadowing the release of her documentary. Kimmel humorously mentioned Melania’s promotion of the film on Fox News, where she called for unity, prompting Kimmel to joke, “Either that, or she is ordering tea. ‘You need tea?’”
Kimmel also mocked Melania’s claims that her family loved the documentary, with Melania stating that Donald Trump “loved it” and Barron Trump “liked it, too.” Kimmel sarcastically remarked, “All the people in the movie are giving it rave reviews. That’s enough for me!”
The documentary promises viewers a glimpse into Melania Trump’s world as she navigates the White House transition and reenters public life with her family, featuring exclusive footage of critical meetings and private conversations. “Melania” is set to open in theaters on Jan. 30 from Amazon.
Kimmel’s monologue humorously highlighted Melania’s promotion of the documentary and her family’s supposed enjoyment of it. The comedian’s signature wit added a comedic twist to the upcoming release of “Melania,” providing entertainment for his audience.
