A new development in the ongoing Nancy Guthrie case has surfaced, with a letter sent to TMZ demanding one bitcoin in exchange for information about the elderly woman’s kidnapper. The letter, which is the third alleged note since Nancy was last seen on January 31, provided details of a working bitcoin address for the payment.

According to TMZ, the demand for the bitcoin payment is in exchange for the “name of the individual involved” in Nancy’s kidnapping. The note emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that “time is more than relevant.” TMZ host Harvey Levin revealed that the bitcoin address specified in the letter is different from the one featured in the original ransom note sent to news stations and TMZ last week.

The value of one bitcoin is currently around $67,000, surpassing the $50,000 reward offered by law enforcement for information leading to the alleged kidnappers of Savannah Guthrie’s mother. The FBI has been informed of the new letter and its contents for further investigation.

Recent updates on the case included the release of images and videos captured by a Nest doorbell camera at Nancy’s Tucson home. The footage showed a masked individual approaching the front door on the night of her disappearance, attempting to cover the camera with shrubbery. The suspect was seen wearing a ski mask, thick gloves, a zipped jacket, and a backpack, with a gun holstered in an unusual manner on the front of their pants.

In a separate development, a FedEx delivery driver named Carlos Palazuelos was detained by police in Rio Rico, south of Tucson, following a traffic stop. He was later released without charge after a search of his residence. Palazuelos denied any knowledge of Nancy Guthrie or her case, claiming he did not watch the news.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, who has medical conditions requiring daily medication and a pacemaker, was last seen alive on January 31 when she was dropped off at her home by her son-in-law. The investigation into her disappearance continues as authorities work to uncover the truth behind this puzzling case.
