Renowned forensic artist Lois Gibson has recently contributed to the efforts to locate Nancy Guthrie, who was kidnapped. Using surveillance footage of the masked suspect lurking around Guthrie’s home, Gibson has created a sketch of the possible kidnapper.

According to Gibson, the suspect has a wide head, thick eyebrows, medium-length dark hair, and sports a goatee. The sketch offers a first glimpse into the appearance of the perpetrator, providing valuable clues to aid in the investigation.

Gibson cautioned that the sketch is based on assumptions due to parts of the suspect’s face being covered by a ski mask in the surveillance photos. Despite the limitations, Gibson’s vast experience in forensic artistry has been instrumental in solving numerous criminal cases.

Law enforcement has not yet released their own version of the suspect’s sketch. However, the doorbell footage capturing the masked man has been made public in hopes of someone identifying the suspect based on visible features.

Authorities describe the suspect as a male with an average build, standing around 5’9 or 5’10. The release of the footage has led to some leads, including the temporary detainment of a delivery driver whose eyes resembled those of the suspect.

Despite facing criticism for releasing the sketch before official authorization, Gibson stands by her decision, citing her track record in aiding crime victims. Her sketches have helped locate numerous kidnap victims, showcasing the importance of her work in assisting law enforcement.

While Gibson’s efforts have yet to yield a breakthrough in the case, the investigation continues with authorities following up on leads and analyzing DNA evidence recovered from Guthrie’s property. The FBI has increased the reward for information leading to Guthrie’s whereabouts.
