Brian Tyree Henry is making his way to Netflix with the new adult animated series “Bass X Machina.” The show, set to debut on October 6, will see Henry not only starring in but also executive producing the series.
Joining Henry in the voice cast are talented individuals such as Janelle Monáe as Glory, Tati Gabrielle as Dana, Cree Summer as Ahni, Chaske Spencer as Lighthorse, Currie Graham as Rivenbark, and Starletta DuPois as Etta.
“Bass x Machina” takes place in a lawless steampunk West filled with brutal outlaws, machines, and supernatural terrors. In this world, a father must take on the roles of judge, jury, and executioner to protect his family, even if it means risking everything he holds dear.
The original music for the show will be composed by Roman GianArthur and Nate Wonder of Wondaland. Additionally, LeSean Thomas, Jennifer Wiley-Moxley, and Chad Handley are onboard as executive producers for the series.
Henry has a strong background in animation, having previously voiced characters in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and its upcoming sequel “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.” He is also set to return for the next installment, “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,” promising an emotional conclusion to the storyline.
The animation for “Bass x Machina” will be handled by South Korea’s Studio Mir, known for their exceptional work in the industry.
