And so I think Sophie’s just familiar with the idea of like, people are people, and she’s not someone who necessarily judges people based on their rank or their sexuality. And I think that’s just a testament to how strong and how wise and how open and compassionate she is. I think she’s just someone who’s always been kind of misunderstood and she wants to make sure that she’s not going to do that to anyone else.
As for Sophie’s relationship with her future children, Ha hopes that the show could eventually depict the “fairytale” ending of Sophie and Benedict’s future children. “I think it would be really nice to see that they have a big family and that they’re so in love with each other that it’s like a fairytale,” she said.
Looking ahead to Season 5, Ha revealed that she’d like to see Sophie spend more time downstairs and get to know Kate more. “I think Kate is such an interesting character, and I feel like Sophie needs a friend. She doesn’t really have a friend. I think it would be really interesting to see that relationship develop and to see Sophie kind of be more active in that way,” she said.
