The Wasserman Agency, known for its sports and marketing prowess, is undergoing a major rebranding effort following the scandal involving founder Casey Wasserman’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The agency is now known as The·Team, a move that comes after the release of flirtatious emails between Wasserman and Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell earlier this year.

The rebrand was announced on Monday, with the company unveiling a new website and logo under the new name. In a statement on the new site, The·Team emphasized its commitment to the power of sports, music, and entertainment, highlighting its belief in unity and teamwork as it moves forward.

Notably absent from the announcement was Casey Wasserman himself, who had expressed his intention to sell the company in February following the public disclosure of his correspondence with Maxwell. The emails, dating back to 2003, revealed suggestive exchanges between Wasserman and Maxwell, including requests for massages.

Despite the scandal, Wasserman has continued to serve as the chairman of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics organizing committee, a position that has drawn criticism from various quarters. Calls for his resignation have been made by Mayor Karen Bass and other officials, with the LA City Council even considering a resolution to address concerns over his association with the Epstein files.

In response to the rebranding and ongoing controversies, Wasserman has remained silent. The decision to sell his company and focus on the 2028 Games has not deterred the criticism and scrutiny surrounding his involvement with Epstein.

The rebranding of The Wasserman Agency to The·Team marks a new chapter for the once-prominent Hollywood talent agency. As the company navigates this transition, it remains to be seen how it will rebuild its reputation and move forward in the wake of the scandal that has rocked its foundation.
