Anonymous Sculpture Depicts Trump and Epstein as Titanic Lovers

A controversial sculpture depicting President Donald Trump caressing convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a scene reminiscent of the movie Titanic has appeared in front of the United States Capitol. The artwork, titled “King of the World,” is the latest creation by the anonymous artist or artists known as The Secret Handshake, known for their critical commentary on Trump.

The sculpture features Trump embracing Epstein as the latter looks on with a smile, mimicking the famous Titanic scene where Jack and Rose stand on the ship’s bow. The artwork draws parallels between the fictional love story and the controversial relationship between Trump and Epstein, particularly in light of recent revelations.

A plaque accompanying the sculpture reads, “This monument honors the bond between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, a friendship seemingly built on luxurious travel, raucous parties, and secret nude sketches.” The installation includes railing in the shape of a ship’s bow and banners featuring images of Trump and Epstein.

The artwork comes in response to the release of previously withheld documents detailing abuse allegations against Trump, including a woman’s claim that she had a sexual encounter with him when she was a teenager. The Secret Handshake explained that the sculpture was a nod to Trump’s self-proclaimed title of “king” and his recent interest in adding his likeness to government buildings.

This is not the first time The Secret Handshake has criticized Trump’s connections to Epstein through public art. Previous installations have included an enlarged birthday card allegedly written by Trump within the outline of a female body and a sculpture of Trump and Epstein holding hands on the National Mall.

The sculpture is set to remain on view until Friday, March 14, inviting public engagement and discussion about the controversial subject matter it addresses.
