Hulu Drops Official Trailer for “Malcom in the Middle” Revival
Hulu has released the official trailer for its highly anticipated “Malcom in the Middle” revival, titled “Malcom in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,” scheduled to premiere on April 10. The four-episode limited series will bring back almost all of the original show’s main cast members, including Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Bryan Cranston as Hal, Chris Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama.
Joining the returning cast is Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, who will be taking on the role of Dewey, Malcolm’s younger brother. New additions to the cast include Keeley Karsten as Malcolm’s daughter Leah, Kiana Madeira as his girlfriend Tristan, and Vaughan Murrae as Kelly, Hal and Lois’ youngest child.
The storyline of the revival revolves around Malcolm being pulled back into his family’s world after years of keeping them at a distance when Hal and Lois insist on his presence at their 40th anniversary celebration.
The original creator of the show, Linwood Boomer, returns as the writer and executive producer of the new series. Bryan Cranston, Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman, and the Milchan family are also on board as executive producers. Ken Kwapis directs all four episodes and serves as an executive producer, with Jimmy Simons and Laura Delahaye as co-executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Television under Disney Branded Television.
The revival of “Malcom in the Middle” was officially announced in December 2024. The original series, which aired on Fox from 2000 to 2006, garnered critical acclaim and received numerous Emmy nominations and awards. The entire original series is currently available for streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
