Laura Berger, an artist based in Chicago, delves further into themes of connection in her impressive collection of paintings. Her distinctive minimalistic figures are depicted in close harmony with each other and the natural world. These large-scale artworks, extending six feet across, intricately combine human forms with elements like waves, blossoms, and clouds illuminated by the sun.
Berger’s work often reflects on personal history and spirituality, emphasizing how the passage of time can obscure memories and how change arises from various situations. Her latest series further explores interdependence, portraying figures in translucent forms as they navigate a rising wave or rest on pink petals.

Berger’s paintings will be displayed from April 17 to May 23 at the Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery in West Palm Beach. In the meantime, her work can be explored further on Instagram.
