Thanks for the submission!
According to the Mayo Clinic, appendicitis is caused by an inflammation of the appendix due to a blockage in its lining. Patients typically experience pain in the lower abdomen, which intensifies as the condition progresses, becoming a serious issue.

In addition to lower abdominal pain, appendicitis symptoms include loss of appetite, nausea, constipation or diarrhea, bloating, and gas. Pain can worsen with sudden movements.
This season has been challenging for Embiid, who had high hopes for the 2025-26 NBA season. After a previous season marred by injuries, limiting him to just 19 games, many expected him to have a more active year. So far, he has played in 39 games, significantly contributing to Philadelphia’s playoff efforts, averaging 26.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. Despite his ongoing health challenges, Embiid has demonstrated a strong commitment to playing. His recent health setback is a major concern for the 76ers, especially with the approaching Play-In Tournament.
