Good afternoon.
It is imperative that the falsehoods connecting me to the disreputable Jeffrey Epstein come to an end immediately.
Those propagating these lies lack ethical standards, humility, and respect. While I do not fault their ignorance, I firmly oppose their malicious attempts to tarnish my reputation.
I have never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I occasionally attended the same events as Epstein, as it is common for social circles to overlap in New York City and Palm Beach.
To clarify, I never had any relationship with Epstein or his associate, Maxwell. My email response to Maxwell was nothing more than a casual exchange. My courteous reply to her email was merely a trivial note.
I am not a victim of Epstein. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I met my husband by chance at a New York City party in 1998, an encounter detailed in my book, MELANIA.
The first time I encountered Epstein was in 2000 at an event attended by Donald and me. At that time, I had no prior acquaintance with Epstein and was unaware of his criminal activities.
For years, numerous fake images and statements about Epstein and me have circulated on social media. Be cautious about what you choose to believe, as these images and stories are entirely false.
I am neither a witness nor a named witness in any of Epstein’s crimes. My name has never appeared in court documents, depositions, victim statements, or FBI interviews related to the Epstein case.
I have never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of his victims. I was never involved in any capacity—I did not participate, never boarded Epstein’s plane, and never visited his private island.
I have never been legally accused or convicted of any crime related to Epstein’s sex trafficking, abuse of minors, or other reprehensible behavior.
The baseless slurs against me by malicious and politically motivated individuals and entities seeking to damage my reputation for financial or political gain must cease.
My attorneys and I have successfully countered these unfounded and baseless allegations and will continue to protect my reputation without hesitation. Several individuals and companies have been legally required to publicly apologize and retract their false statements about me, including The Daily Beast, James Carville, and Harper Collins UK.
It is now time for Congress to take action. Epstein did not act alone. Several prominent male executives resigned from their positions after this matter became widely politicized. While this does not imply guilt, we must work openly and transparently to uncover the truth.
I urge Congress to hold a public hearing focused on the survivors of Epstein’s actions. It is essential to give these victims the chance to testify under oath before Congress, allowing them to share their stories publicly if they choose. Their testimonies should be permanently recorded in the Congressional Record.
Only then will we arrive at the truth.
