Khloé Kardashian confronted Lamar Odom with an ultimatum during an intervention, leading to Lamar’s decision to pursue a divorce.
Khloé recounted the situation, saying, “I was advised to do this intervention, and the interventionist instructed me to tell him, ‘You need to go to rehab, and if you don’t commit to a three-month program, you’ll have to say you’re getting a divorce.’ Everyone around me was convinced he would never agree to a divorce. We proceeded with the intervention.”
She continued, “I delivered my speech, and his response was, ‘Okay, all I want is my passport, and yeah, let’s get the f—— divorce.’ I was shocked, looking around, thinking, ‘Wait. Wait. I… I don’t want the divorce. You all told me to say this.’ Lamar immediately left, declaring, ‘We’re getting the f—— divorce, and I’m never coming back here again.’
Initially, Khloé withdrew the first divorce petition she filed in 2015, before Lamar’s overdose. She later filed for divorce again, which was finalized in December 2016.
