Jevon Evans is currently one of WWE’s brightest young talents and a major draw on Monday Night RAW. Known as “The Young OG,” Evans captivates fans with his high-flying maneuvers and charismatic presence. He transitioned to the main WWE roster this year after nearly two years in NXT, where he was mentored by Shawn Michaels. As the 2025 NXT Men’s Iron Survivor, Evans recently celebrated his 22nd birthday.

In 2023, Evans signed with NXT and made his debut against Scrypts on the April 9, 2024, episode. He later faced NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov but fell short in the match. Despite the loss, Dragunov demonstrated sportsmanship by shaking hands with Evans. John Cena selected Evans and TNA’s Leon Slater to challenge AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for the World Tag Team titles at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Evans officially joined the RAW roster in January, after his last NXT match against Ricky Saints on December 30. He then made his WrestleMania debut in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match. Despite his achievements, Evans remains youthful at 22. His father celebrated his birthday by sharing a video montage of him on Instagram.

Jevon Evans on Adapting His In-Ring Style for WWE Stardom

In an interview on the Club 520 Podcast, Jevon Evans expressed his ambition to become a top star in WWE as he matures. He acknowledged the need to evolve his wrestling style to achieve this goal.

“Honestly, it’s just something that I’m doing right now for real. I want to be a top dog here. I know me doing all these cool moves is going to get my foot in the door, but it’s not going to keep me in the room. I’m doing all this now just to have fun with the crowd and build a connection with the kids and stuff like that. By the time I get older, I’m trying to be one of them dogs, you know?
