Isa Briones, known for her role in “The Pitt,” addressed fans on social media on Saturday, urging them to refrain from shouting during her Broadway performances. While Briones portrays Dr. Trinity Santos, a second-year resident in “The Pitt,” she is currently taking on the role of Connie Francis in the jukebox musical “Just In Time.”
Briones expressed her frustration on Instagram, stating, “Hey, hey, hey! Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers. Yelling âwhen are you going to finish your chartsâ before I sing âWhoâs Sorry Now?â is extremely disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Yâall are pissinâ me off.â
She further added, âLove and light and please remember you are occupying shared spaces and watching art.â
Briones made her Broadway debut in 2024 as Eurydice in “Hadestown” and joined “Just In Time” on April 1. The musical explores the life and career of American singer-songwriter Bobby Darin. Jeremy Jordan, who succeeded Matthew Morrison from “Glee” on April 21, plays the role of Darin. The cast also includes Joe Barbara, Emily Bergl, Carrie St. Louis, Debbie Gravitte, Lance Roberts, and Caesar Samayoa.
Since its premiere in 2025, âThe Pittâ has rapidly become one of HBOâs most popular shows. Its first season earned 13 Emmy nominations and won five awards, including best drama series, best actor for Noah Wyle, and best supporting actress for Katherine LaNasa. The second season of “The Pitt,” which began on January 8, is anticipated to be a strong contender at this yearâs Emmy Awards.
