The use of tokens in Escalation has sparked debate among The Division 2 players. The system allows players to wager tokens with a promise of return upon completing the activity. However, party leaders often find this system unfair as they must wager more tokens depending on party size, resulting in lesser returns compared to other members.
Recently, the Delta-03 server errors have exacerbated this issue, particularly affecting party leaders who lost many tokens after being ejected from the game during runs. In response, Ubisoft has acknowledged the problem and promised future adjustments.
The Division 2 Game Director Vows to Ease Token Burden on Escalation Leaders
Following the weekly reset on May 12, 2026, a significant number of players experienced the Delta-03 error, prompting another maintenance downtime by developers. During this period, the community voiced numerous concerns, including the harsh token distribution for party leaders in Escalation.
The Division 2’s game director addressed these concerns, clarifying that the intent was never to “punish” leaders for wagering in Escalation. Instead, they believe leaders should be rewarded more for their risk-taking.
While the timeline for these changes is still unclear, Ubisoft is expected to introduce adjustments by the next weekly reset on May 19, given the significant feedback received.
