Emma Raducanu, after withdrawing from Wimbledon due to a stress fracture, has shared an encouraging update on her recovery. Fans observed that she is no longer using crutches as she shared aspects of her daily life away from tennis.

Reuniting with coach Andrew Richardson, Raducanu excelled at the start of the grass season. The 23-year-old began her campaign at the HSBC Championships on home soil. At the Queen’s Club in London, she defeated top-seeded players like Sorana Cirstea and Iva Jovic in straight sets, making her way to her first WTA 500 final, where she was bested by Donna Vekic.

Following her performance at the HSBC Championships, Raducanu chose to withdraw from the Nottingham Open to concentrate on Wimbledon. Unfortunately, she had to exit the Grand Slam due to a stress fracture. Recently, she offered a brief update to her fans on Instagram, stating,

“big little things <3”

In the days following her Wimbledon withdrawal, Raducanu was seen using a walking boot and crutches. Her recent social media post, however, shows she has managed to leave both behind.

Emma Raducanu is preparing for her return at the 2026 National Bank Open as she continues to recover. The WTA 1000 tournament will take place in Toronto, Canada from August 2 to August 13. Besides Raducanu, the event will feature nearly the entire WTA Top 10, including World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka, Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina, and French Open champion Mirra Andreeva.

Raducanu has participated in the National Bank Open twice, first in 2022 and again in 2025. Her best finish at the event was reaching the round of 32 last year.

In 2026, Emma Raducanu has had a promising year. She started with a quarterfinal appearance at the Hobart International and secured a runners-up spot at the Winners Open. However, health setbacks caused her to miss several tournaments. During the clay season, she exited in the first round at both the Internationaux de Strasbourg and the French Open, before reaching the HSBC Championships final.
