Megyn Kelly has raised concerns about the current state of President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement, according to RadarOnline.com. During a spirited appearance on the Hodgetwins Podcast on Friday, the conservative commentator contended that Trump’s previously expansive political base has significantly diminished over recent years.

Kelly was candid in her assessment of Trump’s movement. She stated, “MAGA is not what it was. MAGA is now this very, very small group of Trump diehard loyalists who have to love Mark Levin.” Her comments elicited laughter from the Hodgetwins hosts, reflecting her ongoing public feud with Levin.

Previously, Trump defended the conservative radio host after Kelly’s online mockery, where she accused Levin of having a “micropenis.” In response, Trump described Levin as a “Great American Patriot” who was being unfairly criticized by “jealous and angry” individuals.

Kelly expressed surprise at the rapid change she perceives in the MAGA movement, noting, “I guess I’ve been surprised to see how quickly [MAGA has] shrunk down to something less formidable, by far, than it used to be.”

During the interview, Kelly resisted categorizing Trump supporters as cultists, but acknowledged their loyalty often resembles such devotion. She remarked, “It’s disrespectful to call Trump voters cultists, but they do have the same kind of loyalty,” adding, “Where it’s like ‘In Trump We Trust,’ and he can do no wrong.” Kelly acknowledged that Trump’s supporters feel he understood them during a time when they were overlooked by others.

Kelly also highlighted the rising tensions with Iran, pointing out that Trump’s current actions contradict his prior campaign promises to avoid new Middle Eastern conflicts. One Hodgetwins host even compared Trump to “George Bush 2.0” due to the financial gains and the new conflict initiated. Kelly concurred, suggesting that Trump has let down a significant portion of his base. She said, “It’s stunning to me that the people who voted for the man who said over and over ‘No new wars,’ [and] ‘No war with Iran, no Middle East wars’ — and specifically over and over said ‘Iran’ and also said ‘The Democrats are going to get us into a war with Iran’ — that was not a throwaway line.” She emphasized that it was a crucial part of his campaign promises.

Kelly expressed her astonishment at how swiftly some supporters shifted their stance on the issue, noting, “That those people on a dime were like ‘Yes, we’re pro-war with Iran! Yes, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.'” She concluded, “We all know that that’s a lie. It’s so obvious that’s a lie to get us into this conflict.”

Kelly’s comments followed recent internal strife within the MAGA movement, sparked by Marjorie Taylor Greene’s criticism of some Trump allies for acting like “cult-like” followers. The outspoken Georgia politician attacked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after his supportive speech for Trump-backed candidate Ed Gallrein at a Kentucky campaign event on Monday, May 18.

Greene criticized Hegseth on X, writing, “You know what’s so disturbing about this? It’s not about serving Trump. It’s about defending and protecting the Constitution and the American people.” She added, “MAGA has become a cult where Fox News hosts demand absurd loyalty to the very neocon establishment policies that Americans voted to end.”
