Is it common for presidents to frequently discuss ballrooms and fall asleep in public? falling asleep in public?
This is the image Donald Trump seems to want the public to accept.
He has not fully disclosed his medical records or the reasons behind his numerous doctor visits, yet he wrote on social media:
Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff! Heading back to the White House.
While the media, encouraged by the White House, assumed Trump was undergoing an annual physical, he claims to have bi-annual check-ups, which deviates from the standard for healthy presidents.
Since the ratification of the 25th Amendment in 1967, presidents typically receive an annual physical and are pronounced fit for duty. These fitness declarations have sometimes been questionable, such as Ronald Reagan’s during his second term.
Trump, however, has maintained an unusual level of secrecy regarding his health, unmatched by any president since 1967.
During his presidency, Trump underwent dementia screenings three times, a frequency not seen with any previous president, as no other has been screened for dementia.
