Following the WWE Clash in Italy, the organization unveiled the complete details for this year’s King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments. The brackets have been released, and they are filled with standout talent. The QOTR appears especially competitive, largely due to the participation of the reigning WWE Women’s World Champion.
This year’s tournaments, similar to last year, will feature four Fatal 4-Way matches each. The winners will advance to the semifinals for singles matches. Victors from these bouts will proceed to the Night of Champions, where the new King & Queen of the Ring will be decided. The QOTR is packed with both seasoned world champions and rising stars, including Liv Morgan.

In the post-show of the Clash in Italy, Liv Morgan praised the women who competed, particularly mentioning Rhea Ripley and Sol Ruca, whom she reminded the audience she has already defeated. Morgan shared that her decision to enter the QOTR tournament was her own, aiming to make a statement.
“It had me thinking of all the people that think Liv Morgan isn’t a good champion. It had me thinking of all the people that say, ‘Liv Morgan does not defend her title.’ It had me thinking of all the people that say, ‘Liv Morgan isn’t worthy of being champion.’ You know what that made me think? That made me think that I am entering the Queen of the Ring Tournament because I WANT IT ALL!! I want it all, so I am taking it all, because I’m the GREATEST WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION OF ALL TIME!!”
Morgan aims to demonstrate her abilities and potentially challenge fellow champion Rhea Ripley. They have had brief interactions since Ripley moved to SmackDown with the WWE Women’s Championship. If Morgan succeeds in the tournament, a match between the two champions might be on the horizon.
What does winning the WWE Queen of the Ring Tournament mean?
Victors of the King or Queen of the Ring Tournaments will secure a world championship match at SummerSlam. These matches are typically guaranteed unless unforeseen events occur, similar to Rey Mysterio’s situation with Randy Orton in 2006.
On the men’s side, winners of the KOTR are assured a World Title match at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Last year, Cody Rhodes claimed the WWE Championship from John Cena following his KOTR victory. Gunther also captured the title from Damian Priest the previous year. However, the Queen of the Ring winners have had mixed success.
Previous winners Nia Jax and Jade Cargill had different outcomes. Jax triumphed over Bayley at the 2024 SummerSlam to win the Women’s WWE Championship, while Cargill was unsuccessful in her SummerSlam challenge against Tiffany Stratton, though she later won the title from Stratton.
The King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments are set to commence on Monday Night RAW tomorrow, offering Morgan a chance to prove her supremacy.
