Kirsten Storms Updates on Legal Drama With Ex Brandon Barash

General Hospital star Kirsten Storms has provided significant news regarding her challenging custody battle with her ex-husband, Brandon Barash.

Storms, 42, addressed her followers in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 7, saying, “I’m sure some of you guys have read the stories online regarding a situation involving something my ex-husband is currently trying to claim. Because I did see one story online stating I reported the apartment break-in AFTER he filed something against me in court, I really need to address this entire issue.”

Previously, Storms had claimed via social media that her apartment in Tennessee was broken into late last year, sharing footage of the alleged event this past April.

In her recent post, Storms refuted claims about the timing of her report on the break-in, stating they are “completely false.” She asserted she has “records/evidence” to support her timeline.

Storms explained that the break-in occurred and was reported to the building management and Franklin Police Department before Barash filed anything in court. The break-in reportedly took place in November 2025, while Barash, 46, sought custody of their daughter, Harper Rose, in December 2025.

She highlighted, “It puts my safety in a dangerous position for anyone to try and shift focus away from the fact that there was a person regularly entering my residence while I was out of town for medical appts in St Louis. You can see from my previous posts that the damage to the lock on my apartment door was extensive and obvious. I took that photo in August of last year — months before Brandon filed anything in court.”

Additionally, Storms mentioned her ongoing discussions with the leasing office to address the door damage and to secure building camera footage. These interactions began in early August.

She noted that she delayed posting about the break-in until after she relocated from the building.

“It’s been something that is difficult to accept happened pretty much as soon as I moved out here,” Storms shared, reflecting on her decision to take a work hiatus for personal reasons, describing it as a ‘leap of faith’ seeking a better quality of life.

Storms and Barash, who were married from 2013 to 2016, moved to Tennessee to co-parent their daughter. Barash obtained a restraining order against Storms in late April, citing concerns about her mental health.

“Moving to Tennessee, as a single mom who lives alone 50 [percent] of the time, with a newly discovered brain aneurysm … well, I don’t think I need to explain how upsetting this entire situation has been for me,” Storms remarked. Her brain aneurysm was discovered in January 2025.

“Realizing that not only was my apartment/space/privacy being violated, but this person also gained access to my WiFi and cellphone,” she wrote on Sunday. “I haven’t been online much because of how the circumstances have been twisted into something that it shouldn’t be. This has been a very serious thing for me to go through.”

Storms claimed in an April Instagram post that her phone had been hacked. The Franklin Police Department confirmed at the time that there was “an active investigation.”

As her statement continued, Storms thanked followers for “encouraging” messages. She also offered a possible update on her General Hospital return — although it’s not coming any time soon.
