Pop icon Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce celebrated their marriage at Madison Square Garden on Friday. The event was an intimate affair with approximately 1,000 guests, ensuring complete privacy.
While many details from the ceremony are still under wraps, ‘People’ magazine revealed on Monday that one touching moment involved Swift’s wedding vows, which reportedly moved Kelce to tears. Sources say that the “Shake It Off” singer expressed a wish that she had known the three-time Super Bowl champion during their high school days.
“Taylor talked about how Travis was the guy in high school who, even though he was the star athlete, would go sit with the less-popular kids who were being bullied at lunchtime,” one source said. “And Taylor talked about how she wished she knew someone like that when she was in high school. It was so special.”
“Travis was emotional during the vows,” another source added.
Following the ceremony, social media was abuzz with comments, many of which were critical of Taylor Swift.

Post-wedding, rumors have circulated suggesting that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce might soon divorce. On Monday’s episode of “Wake Up Barstool,” Dave Portnoy addressed these rumors.
Despite not receiving a wedding invitation, Portnoy defended the couple and dismissed the divorce speculations.
“I’m a Swifty,” Portnoy said. “I did not get the invite. … I’m not sure if Travis Kelce (likes) me. I really hated his guts when people compared him to Gronk (Rob Gronkowski). I thought it was disrespectful to Gronk.
“I don’t know what’s going on at this wedding, and if you’re a Taylor Swift person or fan, she’s always been very private, right up to this Kelce thing. She married a meathead, and I, by the way, I think this thing’s gonna last. I think they’re really in love.”
The celebration at Madison Square Garden was attended by several celebrities. Swift and Kelce are now getting ready for their extravagant honeymoon before Kelce prepares for his 14th year with the Chiefs.
