Nicole Brown Simpson’s estate was valued at a minimum of $700,000, comprising over $500,000 in real estate and at least $200,000 in additional assets.
The majority of her estate was bequeathed to her children, with no mention of her former husband, O.J. Simpson, in her will.
On June 12, 1994, Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were tragically stabbed to death outside her Brentwood, Los Angeles condominium.
O.J. Simpson, Nicole’s former husband, faced charges for the murders. Following a widely publicized, slow-speed police chase, he was apprehended and brought to trial in 1995.
The trial captivated the nation, focusing on DNA evidence, a history of domestic violence, and the notorious leather gloves that seemingly did not fit Simpson’s hand.
Simpson was acquitted of the murder charges by a jury on October 3, 1995.
However, in 1997, a civil court found him liable for wrongful death and ordered him to pay $33.5 million to the victims’ families.
