A Bronx commuter was slashed by an apparent stranger during a rush-hour altercation on Thursday evening, according to police.

The attacker, described as having a white beard, engaged in a dispute with the 26-year-old victim as he disembarked from a northbound No. 4 train at the East 167th Street and River Avenue station around 5:50 p.m., authorities reported.

During the confrontation, the suspect cut the victim on the right side of his face.

The bearded suspect argued with the 26-year-old as he exited a northbound No. 4 train at the E 167th St & River Ave station, according to police.

The injured man was taken to BronxCare Health System and is in stable condition, officials said.

The reason behind the fight remained unclear as of Friday.

Earlier that day, a teenager was attacked with a metal bottle and put in a chokehold by a stranger who believed he was being recorded on a Lower Manhattan train, police and sources indicated.

The suspect inflicted a cut on the right side of the victim’s face, police noted.

The assailant confronted the 19-year-old, whom he suspected of filming him, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on an uptown 5 train near the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station, according to authorities and law enforcement sources.

The irate individual then struck the young man with the bottle, punched him multiple times, and placed him in a chokehold before leaving the train, police reported.

The attacker subsequently exited the train and escaped, police said.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital and is in stable condition.

The NYPD has released surveillance images of the goateed suspect, captured in the station wearing a black hoodie, a white baseball cap, and black shorts.
