A brief recap of Trying Season 5

Throughout Season 5, Nikki and Jason encounter new personal and parenting challenges after Nikki secretly contacts Princess’s birth mother, Kat. As Princess grapples with this revelation, Nikki and Jason strive to maintain balance in their lives.

Nikki also embarks on a new career at a travel agency, forming a friendship with colleague Kerry, while Jason returns to college to study social work. Both are tasked with juggling their ambitious new pursuits alongside family responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Karen faces her own set of challenges upon learning that Scott’s rowing adventure ended unsuccessfully, prompting his secret return home. Instead of revealing the truth, Karen opts to conceal Scott’s presence, leading to numerous close calls as unexpected visitors put her secret at risk.

The tension reaches its peak in Episode 4 when the threat of a hurricane leads the family to believe Scott is missing at sea. As they gather to support Karen, they nearly uncover Scott’s presence, forcing the truth into the open.
