According to Mundo Deportivo, De Bruyne is considering leaving Napoli and is looking to join MLS. The Belgian player is dissatisfied with his current situation at the Serie A club and desires a move, despite a managerial change.

De Bruyne expressed discontent under Antonio Conte, criticizing the Italian manager after a disappointing season. The Manchester City legend expressed relief over the managerial change, stating:
“It was difficult for me, of course, because Conte has a very different vision of football than I do; we shouldn’t beat around the bush about that. We play very defensively. If you score one goal every match in a 5-4-1… That’s not so great. Am I happy that Conte is leaving? For me, yes. As far as I’m concerned, he didn’t have to stay.”
With Max Allegri now appointed as Napoli’s new manager, De Bruyne is more inclined to leave Italy, viewing MLS as an ideal destination, especially after playing in the United States during this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Inter Miami is currently leading the pursuit, holding the discovery rights in MLS. Nonetheless, New York City FC and DC United are also monitoring the Belgian’s situation.
The team led by Lionel Messi already includes players like Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul, with Casemiro joining the squad this summer. Adding De Bruyne later this month could further enhance their lineup.

Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas disclosed earlier this year that Lionel Messi earns an impressive $70-80 million annually at the MLS club. He emphasized that the Argentine superstar is worth every cent, stating:
“The reason that I need to have sponsors and for them to be world class is because players are expensive. I pay Messi – worth every penny – but it’s $70 to $80 million a year. Across everything.”
“I previously said that my wish, my dream would be for the number 10 to inaugurate our new stadium in March. This is a decision that rests on Messi. We wish for Messi to finish his career here. I said a few months ago that we should have news in the summer about that but hopefully it will be as soon as possible.”
Messi has two years remaining on his contract with Inter Miami.
