The anticipated date for the upcoming event has been revealed. For the past two years, it has occurred on September 9, leading us to expect a weekday launch around that date this year. However, not all iPhone models will be introduced at that time; only the premium models, including the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Ultra, and the new foldable, will be unveiled.
There is a possibility that the foldable phone may not be available for pre-order simultaneously with the Pro models, which typically become available a week later.
Specifications for the foldable phone have surfaced, thanks to leaked CAD renders and dummy models used by iPhone case manufacturers. The design features a book-style foldable with a novel, passport-shaped format that unfolds into a device resembling an iPad mini.

Interestingly, Apple’s plans were so transparent that Samsung pre-emptively launched its own wide foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which shares similar dimensions. Apple’s counterpart is anticipated to be even more expensive than the Samsung model, which starts at £1,699/$1,899.99 for 256GB of storage.

The upcoming Apple foldable is expected to feature an outer display measuring approximately 5.3 to 5.5 inches and an inner display around 7.7 inches. It will include a prominent camera bump on the back, similar to the iPhone Air, and will be equipped with a 48Mp camera.
Additionally, the phone’s expected color options include a silver and white combination, as well as silver and indigo blue.
