Greg Gutfeld Mocks MSNBC for Collapsing Ratings
Greg Gutfeld didn’t hold back during his Friday night monologue, taking a swipe at MSNBC and their declining ratings. With rumors swirling about a potential sale of the network, Gutfeld quipped that MSNBC now stands for ‘Must Sell Network Before Christmas.’
Gutfeld’s sharp wit and brutal honesty have helped him avoid the ratings struggles that plague his competitors.
One of the prime targets of Gutfeld’s mockery was Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, whom he accused of being two-faced for their sudden shift in opinion on Trump. Gutfeld suggested that their flip-flopping is a major reason why liberals are fearful of a potential second term for Trump.
Mediaite provided further insight into Gutfeld’s takedown of MSNBC:
On his recent show, Gutfeld highlighted MSNBC’s recent woes, including declining ratings for Morning Joe, reports of Rachel Maddow’s pay cut, and a controversial headline that sparked outrage among conservatives on social media.
Gutfeld humorously renamed MSNBC as the “Must Sell Network Before Christmas” in light of Comcast’s decision to spin off the cable channel and others into a separate company.
Gutfeld remarked:
“These days, MSNBC has come to stand for ‘must sell network before Christmas.’ Their post-election ratings are down 54 percent, that’s 50% more than my body fat, Walter. Hell, Brit Hume’s laxative reviews on YouTube have more viewers. And so they have slashed their budgets so low, Joy Reid had to replace her toupe to pay with a cocktail napkin. But don’t feel bad! Check out this headline that their website dropped today. Quote, Laken Riley’s killer never stood a chance. Now that can’t be an accident. If you ask me, it’s suicide by headline. What better way to kill off the rest of the network than to drop one of the most repulsive headlines of all time. MSNBC did finally change it, but the damage was already done.”

MSNBC’s plummeting ratings have made them an easy target for Gutfeld’s ridicule. Their disconnect with the American public and penchant for spreading misinformation while pointing fingers at others have made them a laughingstock. The sooner these deceitful pundits are out of the spotlight, the better off the country will be.
