James Tate Grant Seeks Legal Funding to Sue CBS and Other Media Outlets for Libel and Defamation
James Tate Grant, a recently released J6 prisoner, is reaching out to fellow Americans for urgent legal funding to sue CBS and other media outlets for libel and defamation of character before the statute of limitations runs out in late December.
Grant highlights the horrific aspects of his January 6th ordeal, including losing three years of his youth, enduring torture and starvation in prison, and the stress placed on his parents as he faced over 100 years in prison for allegedly pushing a fence at a political protest.
Despite being exonerated of assaulting Capitol Police Officer Caroline Edwards by U.S. District Federal Judge Jia Cobb, Grant’s reputation continues to be tarnished by false reporting from mainstream media outlets like CBS.
The Injustice of Misleading Reporting
Grant points out the inaccuracies in CBS’s reporting, such as falsely claiming he was found guilty of assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon, a charge he was acquitted of at trial.
He further criticizes CBS for using a deceptive picture that misrepresents the events of January 6th, where he was actually trying to assist a fellow protester and was subjected to police brutality.
Grant emphasizes that the media’s false portrayal of him as a “white supremacist,” “insurrectionist,” and “terrorist” has irreparably damaged his reputation and career as an aspiring attorney.
Seeking Justice and Accountability
Grant is determined to hold the media accountable for their falsehoods and seeks financial support to pursue a lawsuit against them. He emphasizes the importance of setting a precedent to prevent further defamation of conservative individuals by mainstream media outlets.
With the statute of limitations quickly approaching, Grant is in talks with a law firm and requires funding to retain their services. He urges supporters to see their donations as an investment in seeking justice and making the media pay for their lies.
Grant’s plea for legal funding serves as a call to action for those who believe in the importance of holding the media accountable for their misrepresentation and falsehoods.
